Why You Must Have a Squeeze Page to Increase Your Affiliate Marketing Income

If you haven't been thinking about getting your own squeeze page as an affiliate then I can say without reservation that you need to start thinking about it right now because it is very important to your own progression.

You see the usual affiliate strategy goes from article or blog/platform, straight to the merchant landing page, right?. This is the biggest mistake an affiliate can make when promoting any product in any niche.

Let me explain why:

When you direct traffic straight to the merchant landing page, then you are relying on the copywriting that has been done for that particular product, and whilst the creator may be very knowledgeable in the niche, their own marketing efforts may not be up to scratch which affects your conversion rates. So it is much better for you to have a landing page with your own copy that then directs them straight to the product.

The second problem I see is that although you may find products that have fantastic squeeze pages of their own, you are literally having one time traffic and giving it to the merchant for them to benefit from and whilst you do make the commission from the initial sale, if you have your own squeeze page, you have the option of collecting the name and e-mail address of the visitor and then build a relationship with them in the follow up from your autoresponder.

Doing this gives you more exposure for sales, increased chances of an up-sell and also lets you build a strong responsive list of buyers for the future.
